Team Leader Volunteer Programme (Pathways to Settlement)

Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Flexible Location: This position is a national role and can be located in any Red Cross Settlement locations

About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga

The Team Leader is responsible for programme coordination and continuous development. The Team Leader manages a remote team of regional Volunteer Trainers and supports local volunteer programme staff in 8 settlement locations. The Team Leader is part of the National Migration Team. The role contributes to development of volunteering within Red Cross, working with partners across the organisation to ensure NZRC volunteer development reflects best practice. 

In this role you will: 

  • Manage a remote team of trainers and oversee the volunteer training
  • Lead and continuously develop a national volunteer programme (including communications, feedback and reporting, operational processes)
  • Support Volunteer Programme Leads and Coordinators to enable quality volunteer experiences across 8 settlement locations
  • Contribute to National Migration Team projects and cross organisational initiatives

To be successful you will have: 

  • Tertiary education in a relevant field
  • Experience building partnerships and working collaboratively
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Skills delivering training or group facilitation
  • Knowledge and understanding of refugee settlement in NZ, or other relevant cross cultural experience
  • A commitment to the Fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement
