About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Advisor Communications and Engagement to join New Zealand Red Cross.
In this role, you’ll partner with leaders and teams across the organisation to deliver high-quality communications that inform, engage and inspire. From developing communication strategies and managing media enquiries to creating compelling content, analysing performance data and supporting emergency responses, you’ll play a key role in telling the stories of our humanitarian work and strengthening our impact across Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.

To be successful you will have:
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills across digital and traditional channels
- Experience providing strategic communications advice to senior leaders
- Strong media relations, issues management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Confidence using content management systems (CMS), website publishing tools, and email marketing platforms
- Knowledge of social media management and digital communications best practice
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while building strong relationships across diverse stakeholders
- More than 7 years’ experience in communications and engagement roles.
