Are you a strategic relationship-builder with a passion for philanthropy? New Zealand Red Cross is seeking a dynamic Manager, Partnerships and Community to strengthen and expand our network of supporters. This role focuses on developing and managing key partnerships across corporate, philanthropic, and community sectors, while leading engagement activities with schools, workplaces, and local branches. You’ll work towards achieving agreed income targets while contributing to the development of our national fundraising strategy. This is a key role within the Fundraising leadership team, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through thoughtful relationship management and strategic planning.

In this role, we are looking for someone who has the following:
- Develop and manage national corporate partnerships, payroll giving, and social enterprise initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, trusts, foundations and community groups to drive income growth.
- Lead the implementation of fundraising plans, including proposal development, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to planning, budgeting, and risk management as part of the wider Philanthropy leadership team.
- Lead the strategy and delivery of national community fundraising events and campaigns.
- Support and grow local fundraising through branches, schools, and community groups.
- Strengthen relationships with volunteer leaders and supporters and provide tools to support community-led fundraising initiatives.
- Provide clear, supportive leadership to direct reports, setting performance targets and ensuring effective monitoring and development.
- Oversee team projects, operations, and procedures to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.

We encourage you to apply for this role if you have (at least some of) these competencies:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, with formal training in fundraising, account management, or project management considered an advantage.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in fundraising, with a focus on corporate, trust, or philanthropic partnerships.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver successful community fundraising campaigns and events.
- Experience engaging with schools, community groups, and volunteers in a fundraising or outreach capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including executives, funders, and community volunteers.
- Skilled in writing compelling funding proposals and securing philanthropic support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confident presentation abilities.
- Competent in preparing and reporting on budgets and meeting income targets.
