About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga
In this role you will:
- Collect all donated goods and deliver them to shops, adhering to the guidelines on quality.
- Provide great customer service.
- Assist with maintenance of stock levels this includes liaising with the Shop Manager or Delivery Scheduler, for the timely delivery of stock.
- Check and maintain the vehicle you are driving to ensure compliance and road worthiness.
- Keep New Zealand Red Cross informed of any issues promptly.
- Follow New Zealand Red Cross heath safety and wellbeing guidelines.
- Assist with work in the shops as required.
Who are we looking for? – Mā wai te mahi nei?
To be successful you will have:
- A full, clean New Zealand driver's license - Class 2 is preferred
- Experience working with volunteers.
- Driving experience in a similar or relatable role
- An understanding of safe handling, storage of goods and be physically fit
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to mix and work with a wide range of people.
- Self-motivation and a positive, friendly approach.
