Advisor Contracts and Asset Management
Fixed Term until 19 December 2025 (parental leave cover role)
Full time, 37.5 hours per week

NZRC offers a total remuneration approach of $88,341 for this role, which comprises of base salary as well as employer contribution to KiwiSaver. You will have a legal and commercial background and an enthusiasm for continuous improvement and ensuring that suppliers and property portfolio are well managed to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
The Advisor Contracts and Asset Management will bring their legal and commercial experience to ensure we manage our commercial relationships and operate our assets effectively and sustainably to enable New Zealand Red Cross to deliver on its goals.
In this role you will:
- Monitor and report on contract and supplier KPIs, identifying areas where performance or contractual obligations are not being met.
- Advise on contract-related issues, escalating high-risk or ongoing concerns to the Director Finance and Commercial.
- Review, amend, and draft contracts in line with legal guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all internal contract documents.
- Provide advice and support on the contract renewal and extension process, as well as contract management for business customers.
- Develop procurement frameworks, processes, and spend analysis to support effective supplier management and ensure alignment with New Zealand Red Cross’s climate strategy.
- Oversight the maintenance of New Zealand Red Cross’s asset register.
- Work with asset management systems and tracking technologies, liaising with suppliers to secure the best prices for assets and centralised procurement contracts.
Who are we looking for? – Mā wai te mahi nei?
To be successful you will have:
- Strong understanding of contract development, administration, and contract law, with knowledge of procurement and risk management.
- Experience in asset management methodologies and processes
- Degree-level education (preferably in business management or commercial law) and proven experience in contract management.
- Experience managing contractor and supplier relationships, with a preference for procurement and ESG supplier management experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational skills, and the ability to manage shifting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and empathy with humanitarian causes.
