Shop Manager - Whangarei Shop and management oversite of the Dargaville Shop

Permanent Full - Time (37.5 hours per week).

About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga 

In this role you will: 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop, including opening and closing procedures;
  • Overseeing the Dargaville Shop, with regular visits to guide and support the local volunteers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, purchases, and resolving any issues or concerns;
  • Coordinating and Training Volunteer Staff;
  • Manage cash transactions accurately and responsibly, including balancing cash registers at the end of each shift;
  • Train and supervise staff members, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.

To be successful you will have: 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team;
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts;
  • Experience/interest in working with volunteers;
  • Second hand retail/fashion experience would be an advantage;
  • Able to accept and process donations in a timely manner;
  • Ensuring all goods are priced with in the Price guidelines;
  • Have the ability to train coach others - staff and volunteers;
  • Ensuring all goods are priced with in the Price guidelines.
  • New Zealand full driver license, is required
