Ready to make a commercial impact with real purpose behind it? New Zealand Red Cross is looking for a commercially sharp, future focused Commercial Products Manager to lead our First Aid products business through an exciting period of growth, optimisation and opportunity. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll bring together product strategy, supplier partnerships, customer insight, regulatory knowhow and operational excellence to help deliver high quality, market-relevant first aid products across Aotearoa New Zealand.
In this 24 month fixed term role located in either Auckland or Christchurch, you’ll have the chance to lead an end-to-end review of our products operating model and turn great ideas into practical improvements that strengthen revenue, cashflow, scalability and customer value. You’ll be joining an organisation driven by humanity, community resilience, and doing good things well.
In this role you will:
- Lead the First Aid products portfolio, shaping strategies that grow revenue, improve profitability and deliver products that customers genuinely need.
- Guide and support a small team, building capability, confidence and a strong focus on service, performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive a comprehensive review of suppliers, product range, inventory, logistics and operating models to create smarter, more scalable ways of working.
- Use data, market trends, customer feedback and commercial insight to optimise the product portfolio and identify new growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, partners, internal teams, and key customers to strengthen product solutions and commercial outcomes.
- Provide trusted expertise on first aid products, medical devices, AEDs, and regulatory requirements, ensuring our products and communications remain compliant and credible.

To be successful you will have:
- A confident commercial thinker with experience growing products, revenue and portfolio performance in a dynamic environment.
- Someone who understands product strategy, lifecycle management, procurement and distribution logistics, ideally within healthcare, medical devices, safety equipment or another regulated sector.
- A practical change-maker who can lead complex reviews, spot opportunities and turn recommendations into real, measurable improvements.
- A clear communicator who can translate technical or regulatory detail into compelling, customer-focused solutions.
- A collaborative leader who enjoys coaching others, influencing stakeholders and working across teams to get great outcomes.
- A values-led person who is motivated by the humanitarian purpose of New Zealand Red Cross and wants their work to contribute to something bigger.
