Area Advisor (Volunteer Recruitment and Area Support)
Permanent Full-Time - 37.5 hours per week.
Location: Palmerston North
This role sits within the East West Area, supporting Taranaki, Manawatū, Whanganui, Hawke’s Bay, and Gisborne
NZRC offers a total remuneration approach of circa $69k for this role, which comprises of base salary as well as employer contribution to KiwiSaver. About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga
In this role you will:
- Manage volunteer recruitment local information, postings and waitlists while maintaining positive, customer focused relationships with stakeholders that support best outcomes of volunteer recruitment;
- Manage business partner information on Volunteer Management Hub;
- Support creation and continuous improvement of volunteer management guidelines;
- Coordinate a positive and successful experience by managing IT account setup for new members and deactivation when they exit the role;
- Maintain New Zealand Red Cross people databases to help ensure national consistency and storage of good quality and secure information;
- Manage volunteer applications through case management processes, support onboarding
- Advising on training and supporting training delivery for volunteers across the area;
- Develop a sound understanding of the organisation and guidelines in order to direct and pass on referral queries to the appropriate team/individual
- Involved in Project work when needed;

- Has strong ICT/digital skills and is confident using a range of computer systems, software, email, and databases

- Excellent time management and ability to work independently;
- Hold a full, clean driver’s licence and be available to travel as required
