About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga
We’re looking for a creative, audience-focused fundraiser to join New Zealand Red Cross as our Advisor Direct Marketing. Reporting to the Manager Individual Giving, this role is responsible for delivering direct marketing campaigns and supporter communications that grow engagement, loyalty and fundraising income.
You’ll work across mail, digital and supporter journeys to create compelling campaigns that connect people to the impact of New Zealand Red Cross. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining storytelling, analysis and innovation to drive meaningful results.
In this role you will:
- Develop and deliver direct marketing campaigns and appeals that support fundraising growth and supporter retention.
- Create engaging supporter communications across mail, digital and other channels.
- Use testing, reporting and insights to improve campaign performance and supporter experience.
- Work closely with fundraising, communications and programme teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and agencies.
- Support emergency appeal activity and donor conversion strategies when required.

We’re looking for a motivated and organised marketing or fundraising professional who enjoys creating impactful campaigns and building strong supporter relationships.
To be successful you will have:
- Experience delivering direct marketing, fundraising or customer campaigns.
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence using reporting and insights to inform decisions.
- Experience working with databases, agencies or suppliers is desirable.
- An empathy with humanitarian causes and alignment with the fundamental principles of New Zealand Red Cross.
