About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and donor-focused Advisor Supporter Care and Database to join our Philanthropy team in Wellington. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of regular giving donor data and donation processing, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our donor database, Raiser’s Edge. You’ll provide exceptional supporter service and operational support across fundraising activities, and data delivery in line with agreed standards and procedures. 

In this role you will: 

  • Be a primary point of contact for New Zealand Red Cross donors, providing excellent supporter care and ensuring enquiries and issues are handled promptly and appropriately.
  • Deliver empathetic and professional communication across phone, email, and written channels, building long-term supporter engagement.
  • Provide vital administrative support with a strong focus on creating a positive, donor-centric experience.
  • Accurately process donations, maintain up-to-date supporter records, and ensure all compliance and legal requirements are met when handling donation and personal data.
  • Maximise the investment in the national fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge and NXT), ensuring it is fully utilised and developed to meet evolving needs.

To be successful you will have: 

  • Experience of working in a customer / supporter service environment.  
  • A careful and methodical approach, with strong numeracy skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Experience of managing multiple tasks to deadlines and prioritising own workload.  
  • Data and database management experience desirable.
