About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga

We’re looking for a strategic and people-focused marketing leader to join New Zealand Red Cross as our Manager Marketing. Reporting to the Director Communications, Marketing and Philanthropy, this pivotal role leads organisation-wide marketing activity including campaigns, brand, content, reporting and planning.

You’ll lead a small but highly collaborative and agile team, partner closely with stakeholders across the organisation, enjoy the ability to test, innovate and try new approaches to help drive audience engagement, revenue growth and brand impact across Aotearoa.

We welcome applications from candidates located in either Christchurch or Wellington for this role.

In this role you will: 

  • Lead the development and delivery of marketing plans, campaigns and activity that support organisational goals and growth.
  • Champion and protect the New Zealand Red Cross brand across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Partner with teams across the organisation to deliver integrated, audience-focused marketing support.
  • Lead, support and develop a high-performing marketing team.
  • Use insights, reporting and research to inform decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic marketing advice and support to senior leaders across the organisation.

We’re looking for an experienced marketing professional with strong leadership skills, commercial acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships across a complex organisation. 

To be successful you will have: 

  • A proven record of managing results-driven marketing activity across campaigns, digital, brand and content.
  • Strong people leadership experience and stakeholder management.
  • Experience managing budgets, reporting and external suppliers.
  • The ability to be innovative and think strategically while delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • An empathy with humanitarian causes and alignment with the fundamental principles of New Zealand Red Cross.
