At New Zealand Red Cross, we’re not just transforming our technology — we’re transforming how we serve people and communities across Aotearoa. As part of our Digital Transformation Programme, we’re building systems that are smarter, more connected, and more human. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey.
This role is for a seasoned Change Manager to lead and support the change aspects of our multi-year transformation journey. We need a change leader who thrives in complexity, rolls with ambiguity, and knows how to enable meaningful change. We are looking for someone with a steady pair of hands who is also willing and able to dive in and help to get things done.
In this role you will:
- Work with the Digital Transformation Programme Manager to embed best-practice change strategies focused on people and process impacts.
- Lead planning, development and implementation of change initiatives to ensure successful programme delivery.
- Engage and influence key stakeholders (employees, members, volunteers) to build trust and commitment to change.
- Collaborate with project leads to integrate change management principles into project plans and documentation.
- Drive clear, inclusive communication strategies and stakeholder engagement to support programme awareness and success.
- Monitor change impact, readiness and risks throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Develop handover materials and support smooth transition to business-as-usual operations.
- Track and report on change outcomes, including benefits realisation and adoption metrics.
Who are we looking for? – Mā wai te mahi nei?
To be successful you will have:
- Proven experience (5+years) in change management roles supporting major technology or business transformation initiatives to deliver large scale change.
- Experience in developing and executing change, communication, handover and training plans at organisational scale.
- Strong understanding of change management practices and processes.
What about you? You are:
- Strategic and analytical thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative leader with the ability to successfully work in a team and cross organisation working environment.
- Solid understanding of how organisations and people adjust and resist to change.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to articulate the reason for change and the benefits it will bring.
- Strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to diverse communities, cultures, and volunteer environments.
- Ability to work within project teams and deliver within project timeframes and milestones.
- Enthusiasm for, and commitment to, the work of NZRC.
