NZRC offers a total remuneration approach of $58,146 for this role, which comprises of base salary as well as employer contribution to KiwiSaver. About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga 

Join the New Zealand Red Cross Area team in Invercargill and play a key role in supporting the volunteers and members who bring our mission to life. This is a people-focused admin role where you’ll keep operations running smoothly while being a welcoming first point of contact for those joining our Red Cross whānau.

In this role you will: 

  • Maintain accurate people databases and ensure compliance with policies
  • Manage volunteer applications and guide people through their Red Cross journey
  • Support member and volunteer recognition and governance processes
  • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring: 

  • Reliability, resilience, and confidence contributing across teams with dynamic priorities
  • Confidence with technology and ability to quickly learn new systems
  • A passion for creating excellent experiences for members and volunteers
  • Strong communication skills across phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • A motivated, organised approach with problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A team-focused attitude and ability to build positive relationships
  • Confidence to work respectfully within Māori cultural contexts, including Tikanga Māori
  • The ability to connect with people from all walks of life
  • Previous experience in project administration or a related role
